The GaDangme International, Inc. is an umbrella organization of GaDangme associations in North America. Membership is open to all GaDangme associations in North America. Each member association is represented by three delegates according to our constitution.

The GDI was founded by GaDangme associations from Houston, Atlanta, New York, Southern California, Toronto, Chicago and Quebec at our 2nd summit in Toronto on May 19th, 2001. The GDI is headquartered and incorporated in Atlanta, Georgia.

The GDI holds annual summits at selected cities on The Memorial Day weekend. The GDI also has a secured forum at gadangmeinternational@yahoogroups.com where delegates, executives and other invited guests hold discussions and meetings on policy and programs.

One of our main goals and objectives is to empower the GaDangme people worldwide and in GaDangmeland in particular.We hope to achieve these by cooperating with like-minded GaDangme and other organizations everywhere.

Our hope is to encourage the GaDangme youth to value education and to teach them survival skills so they can also help contribute meaningfully to the sustenance and maintenance of the GaDangme culture and heritage.

We are non-political, but encourage GaDangmes to be part of the political process in Ghana.
